processing procedure of stone slabs, cut to size. Stone is very beautiful materials for buildings, from quarry to cut, then polished and finally decorated in different locations like hotels. However, the processing procedure is complicated.
Processing procedure of slabs: block selecting--gangsawing--drying--net backing---sealing--polishing--packing (the cutting machine used for marbles are frame saw and gangsaw. The difference is frame saw has blades and gangsaw cut the marbles using the carborundum; Net backing is usually for marble slabs because the marbles have many small cracks and easily broken, so net backing can reinforce the slabs from breaking. Sealing is to fill the holes on the surface, and when seal comes into the marble, the polishing degree is better; Some of the granites will do the net backing as well, besides, in order to fill the holes, some granite will also use seal on the surface.

1. select & arrange material: As the material which every project need is not quite similiar, moreover, the materials' colors varied. To ensure effect of the project & improve out-put of the material to the utmost extent, size and color of the material should be sifting before using the material (which color be applied to which part of the project, which size can improve the out-put of the material, etc.). So, it can meet the requirement of the project & control the cost.
2. cut to size: it's very important to cut tiles according to the engineering drawing, the collocation of various size will affect out-put of material rate.
3. spread the tiles out and check the color and vein: in order to control the perfect installation effect. According to the engineering drawing, arrange similar colors and veins for installation in advance, and repair the defects before packing.
4.Processing by machine: In order to make a better decoration for projects, especial for wall stone,we will produce the slabs into different shapes. Then in order to improve the work efficiency and quality of products, we will use machine to produce edges on different shapes of slabs such as make grooves.
5. Polishing: This kindly polishing is different from the polished on slabs,but the princople is the same,the wokers use different kinds of abraser to polishing on different position of slabs, then to reach a good effect on decoration.( this processing is done by hand,,then it has a high requirement on handling technique, in addition, the machine they used is hand-held polishing machine, workers use diffenent size of abrasive dics to polish on the positions which polished machine could not reach.)
